the brown box
The Brown Box was the first console to ever be sold, it was made in 1967 by Ralph Henry Baer. Ralph got the idea from the military and how they modified televisions for personal use. Ralph built the first ever console, with the help of his Employee Sanders Electronics, and it was to be known as the brown box
Magnavox Odyssey
Ralph Sealed a licencing contract to a company named Magnavox, in 1971, and a year later they made the console, The Magnavox Odyssey. people who bought the console responded positively to it. because of the graphics back then, they made television overlays to make it more exciting, and also made a light gun that was like the kinect.
Atari Pong
The Atari pong was inspired by the success of the Magnavox Odyssey, and was made in 1975 to 1977. it was a table tennis game with more added features to it, including sound. the console was praised for making gaming big, and was a huge success. it was so big that it was now a 'home console'. this console was so big that once it was out, many tried to make similar versions and even the Magnavox Odyssey tried to make there console better. there were the Magnavox odyssey 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 2000, 3000, and 4000, Coleco Telstar, Fairchild Channel F, and many more.
Nintendo Famicom
the Japanese Brand Nintendo released a console in 1983 called the Nintendo Famicom (which is short for Family Computer) and it was a huge success. 2 years later the console was released worldwide for everyone to play. it got a new design and even a new name, called NES (the Nintendo entertainment System).
